Domofrance
Domofrance signs its first decarbonization agreement with MATERRUP to synchronize low-carbon synergies across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region with local short supply chain partners.
A subsidiary of Action Logement and the first BCORP-certified social housing provider, Domofrance manages more than 40,500 housing units, accommodating approximately 112,000 people.
MATERRUP supports Domofrance in transforming all its real estate production processes by providing technical assistance and delivering the necessary quantities of uncalcined clay cements and concretes to Domofrance’s partners for project execution.
As part of Domofrance’s "Low Carbon Construction Strategic Plan," which extends the "Energy Carbon Strategic Plan" to new offerings (1,700 housing units/year), the collaboration with MATERRUP contributes to Domofrance’s strategy for the 2022-2031 period:
- Bioclimatic design: MCC1® uncalcined clay cements and concretes are easily integrated into all new construction methods, being both substitutable and compatible.
- Energy efficiency: Uncalcined clay cement immediately halves the energy footprint and does not use fossil fuels.
- Frugality: MATERRUP offers solutions to do more with less.
- Circular economy: MATERRUP uses clay from waste materials.
- Use of decarbonized materials and energies: MATERRUP cement provides an immediate carbon avoidance solution with a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions.

Expertise

Today, cement is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, and the Materrup project is exemplary: it is regional, uses natural products, and is low in energy consumption.
Through this material, I believe we can build the future, and this is the project we will jointly pursue.
Together, I believe we can go far in decarbonization.
