[ PROJECT IN LIBOURNE 📍GIRONDE ]

On Rue Jean Jaurès in Libourne, the little ones at the local kindergarten 🚸 are now walking on… waste. Yes — but waste that has been transformed into elegant and durable paving stones. ✨

The new MATERRUP Low-Carbon Cement “Tradition” Chamfered Paver has just been installed..

It looks like natural stone, with a light tone naturally obtained from clay, offering welcome freshness under the Gironde sun — and above all, an ease of installation that makes it the ideal ally for squares, walkways, terraces, and sidewalks. 🌿

This project is part of the “Streets & Sidewalks 2025” plan, designed in collaboration with the Senior Citizens’ Council of the City of Libourne — a project that connects generations through innovation and tradition..

Behind this paver lies a real revolution: MCC1® cement, made from cold-activated clay.

👉 50% lower carbon footprint

👉 50% less embedded energy

No firing, no kiln. The raw clay, sourced from waste, is simply activated mechanically.

The result: a circular, low-energy material, protected by 80 international patents. đź”’

What this changes for cities: more resilient materials, stable costs, a carbon footprint cut in half… and sidewalks that tell a story — the story of a French industry innovating locally in service of its regions. 🇫🇷

A big thank you to the City of Libourne and its Senior Citizens’ Council for their trust and commitment to sustainability 🙏
