In Bayonne, under the Archives Pole, the former underground car park is changing its use

The Department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques is installing the reserves of its estates there: secure logistical spaces, arranged within the existing volume rather than in a new building.

🏛️ As part of its ecological transition approach, the Department has chosen low-carbon materials for this project.
♻️ 4,750 blocks made with MCC1®, our cold-activated clay cement: a raw material sourced from local clay waste, activated without a kiln

🛠️ For the masons, nothing changes: same block, same laying, same tools. Only the cement changes.

We provide the hashtag#cement.
They are the ones building low carbon:

🎯SCORE
Carbon avoidance: 2.2 tonnes of CO₂ on the operation, compared to conventional blocks. A local clay, made from waste. No kiln.

💡 To go further, combine these blocks with our M10 mortar at MCC1®: 0.0408 kg CO₂ eq/kg of mortar mixed, which is −91% compared to conventional mortar (FDES available). Compliant with DTU 20.1, CE marking. The binder and the joint, both low carbon.

Local authorities, project managers, construction companies: it's your turn to play!
