[Fire Resistance Tests for MATERRUP Structures] 🏆 Success for the fire resistance test campaign conducted at CSTB for MCC1 cement and concrete walls!

As the result of a great collaboration with the CSTB teams, a full-scale fire resistance test campaign on load-bearing walls was carried out in CSTB’s fire laboratory.

The walls were exposed to the ISO 834-1 standardized temperature curve and subjected to a mechanical load to simulate the conditions of a fire in a multi-story building.

Manufactured in 3 x 3 x 0.18 m dimensions using non-calcined clay cement, the MCC1 concrete walls confirmed their fire resistance performance:

👍 Concrete class: C25/30

👍 Compressive strength at 28 days: 28 MPa

👍 Formulated with: 300 kg/m³ of MCC1

🔥 Without fibers: REI 60 min

🔥 With 2 kg/m³ of polypropylene fibers: REI 180 min

Following the validation of foundations and slabs under ATEX, these tests mark a promising first step for MATERRUP’s low-carbon cements to expand into new application fields.

Next step:  Obtaining an ATex Type A certification for on-site cast load-bearing walls – stay tuned for this next chapter in the deployment of MCC1’s patented technology for the decarbonization of the cement and construction industry.

🙏 Thank you to the CSTB teams for their support and expertise in our strategic partnership: Pierre Pimienta, José Pestana, Stephane Charuel, Florian Demoulin, Miguel Cruz, Karine HECQUET, Anca Cronopol

🙏 Thank you to our partner  DUHALDE BTP  for the manufacturing of these walls.

And of course,  🙏  thank you to all our team members!
